What's with franchises rushing the word out about a sequel is on the way even before the first movie is out.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is the next such franchise as director David Yates has just been confirmed by Warner Bros. Pictures for the second installment in the series.
Gone are the days when studios wait to see how the first movie does first before planning for a sequel but WB seems to be very confident with not just the property but also with Yates' direction on the first one.
Author J.K. Rowling wasted no time as well and has written the second script which WB and Yates are very happy with.
The sequel is already set for 16 November 2018 while a planned third will be out on 20 November 2020.
