Just when you thought Alcon Entertainment has completed its casting for their upcoming sequel to Blade Runner, ComingSoon has reported yet another A-lister has joined the fray.
Academy Award winner and the new incarnation of DC's The Joker, Jared Leto, has joined the cast which already has Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Barkhad Abdi and Dave Bautista.
Usually, from what I've noticed, for a star to be announced this late into production can only mean one thing: He doesn't have too big of a role in the movie, though that doesn't usually means a less significant role at that.
Nevertheless, a talent such as Leto would only add to the production value of the whole movie. Every role that he has accepted, he has thrown himself into it mind, body, and maybe even soul. That's why he's exciting to watch.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the movie will be out on 6 October 2017.
