Walt Disney Pictures has recently just confirmed on a reboot for their classic rom-com fantasy, Splash, which starred Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah back in 1984.
Now, according to Deadline, the reboot will see a gender swap between the two main characters; and will see Channing Tatum and Jillian Bell playing them. The original production company, Imagine, by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, will be back to produce.
The new script is written by Marja-Lewis Ryan from a pitch made originally by Bell herself. No director or a release date has been confirmed at this point.
