Survival Pictures has released its first trailer to their upcoming real-life drama, The Promise.
Starring Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale, Charlotte Le Bon, Shohreh Aghdashloo and James Cromwell. The story is based in Istanbul in 1914, just before World War I; and as the Turks join the German side while turning against their own minority.
Directed by Terry George, who did Hotel Rwanda; written by George Swicord and Robin Swicord, of which the latter was nominated for writing The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. The Promise is out now at the Toronto International Film Festival, though still without an official release date.
