Warner Bros. Pictures and DC have put out a first look picture of Amber Heard as Mera as she embarks on the filming of Justice League, which currently is taking place in Iceland for scenes taking place near the shores, after having wrapped production in the UK, according to IGN.
She looks very much like the New 52 comic series version of Mera, Queen of Atlantis. She will first appear in next year's Justice League before continuing her storyline in Jason Mamoa's standalone Aquaman movie.
Heard is always eye catching whenever she's onscreen. She's one of the most beautiful actresses working today and her acting chops seems to be getting better after The Danish Girl. No doubt she will be able to bring the much needed gravitas that Mera commands in the comic books.
Justice League is scheduled to be released on 10 November 2017.
