[Review] Bad Moms (4.5/10)

Critical reviews for Bad Mom have been surprisingly lenient. Usually I would enjoy this kind of movie more than the average reviewer on RottenTomatoes, but this is actually a bit of a reverse.

First of all, I just couldn't see Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell being moms for so many kids. Minor issue which I could get over maybe half way through. But even though there were good laughing moments, they became very predictable and the shtick just got old very quickly to a point where I was just bored throughout the middle.

Plot points moved so quickly that things happened way too fast that as an audience member I had to keep telling myself to accept what I saw and move on. Even the finale was a dud with no redeeming qualities, including that speech.

The only one who was really interesting and funny was Kathryn Hahn's character. But we didn't get to see too much of her, probably she worked best in small doses too.

The rest of the cast like Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith also put me to sleep.

This was just a throwaway comedy that makes all the husbands in the movie look horrible. Had the sexes been reversed, we probably would be getting all the sexist complaints.
