Ryan Reynold's Deadpool 2 Loses Director Tim Miller
The winning formula that brought Deadpool to a runaway success earlier this year has been disbanded, much to my surprise.
I thought Ryan Reynolds, director Tim Miller and writers Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick would stick together for the second installment as well because what they managed to achieve together was lightning in a bottle. I guess lightning really doesn't strike twice as Miller exits the sequel.
According to Deadline, even though Miller hasn't officially signed on to direct, but he was part of the creative and writing team in developing the sequel. However, the source cited creative differences between Miller and Reynolds, resulting in his exit.
I would still have faith in Reynolds as he has been the one guy championing this franchise and the architect of getting it off the ground. However, the release date of 12 January 2018 would be in jeopardy if Reynolds doesn't find a replacement soon.
