According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures has confirmed making another version of a live-action Mulan.
Sony has, at this point, one-up Walt Disney Pictures as they confirmed hiring TV's "Game Of Thrones" director Alex Graves. The movie will be an international and Chinese co-production.
This version could very well be of an epic proportion and with a much darker tone, a la "Game Of Thrones". And it's the kind of version that I prefer when it comes to adapting any children stories. And Mulan deserves to have that kind of adaptation, given that it was about war.
No release date has been confirmed yet as of now.
