Angela Bassett Joins Marvel's Black Panther

Marvel Studios has added another strong African American woman into their upcoming Black Panther's lineup. At this point, you would have to wonder who are they not getting. I'm half expecting the lead cast of Hidden Figures to be announced next.

Academy Award-nominee Angela Bassett has been confirmed by ComingSoon that she has been added today, playing the mother of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa - Ramonda.

Bassett is another great addition, as well as a fine example of the kind of talent that Marvel Studios continues to seek out for their movies, in order to get the best performances for the fans. Something that a lot of other popcorn movies are now following.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther will be out on 16 February 2018.
