This looks like a perfect opportunity to see if Chris Evans can do real, heavy drama that would put him in another level; and not just a star-spangled superhero.
Plus with a strong director like Marc Webb and a competent supporting cast, not to mention young McKenna Grace seems to be a gifted actress at that tender age, too.
But I believe how touching the storytelling would be depends heavily on Evans to turn on his acting abilities and also bring out the best in young Grace. This looks like it has the full potential to be a tear-jerker if done right.
Also starring Lindsay Duncan, Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer; Gifted will be out on 12 April 2017.
