Lest we forget, John Wick was directed by a duo. And no, the director for The Highlander reboot is not the same as the director that just got confirmed for Deadpool 2.
John Wick's co-director David Leitch has just been confirmed this week to helm the latter, and now the main director, Chad Stahelski, is set to direct The Highlander reboot that is being produced by Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment; according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Stahelski, if successful with this movie was well, would be the first stunt-coordinator that successfully transitioned to be a director (and not just a one-hit wonder). His second John Wick movie will also say a lot about his future.
Needless to say, the way John Wick was so well-received has put the duo on Hollywood's map and they are not short of future projects at the moment. Both Deadpool 2 and The Highlander will dictate how big their next movies will be.
No release date has been set for the long-gestating project.
