Is there any way that the Transformers movies can be good again? Why is Michael Bay still directing this new one? Why do I still hold on to hope that maybe this next one will be the best one yet?
The trailers always have something to hook me in, even if it's just one scene. This first trailer from Paramount Pictures for Transformers: The First Knight did impress me. I kind of liked the tone of it, the explosions once again are a big spectacle, and the action sequences with the robots look epic again.
But then a lot of the scenes don't make sense. We started with the past (with King Arthur confirmed to appear), then there's Nazis, and then to present day; I have no idea what the movie is about at this point.
Anthony Hopkins' monologue said that Optimus Prime is gone, but then he's still there at the end of the trailer. So again, what are we suppose to understand about this trailer?
This first trailer serves more like a teaser, and I believe more will be revealed in the next ones. The movie comes out on 23 June 2017.
