The official title of Star Wars Episode VIII is here and it is, The Last Jedi. Let the speculations begin.
The go-to reference here would be Luke Skywalker, since it is clearly mentioned in the opening crawl of The Force Awakens that Luke is the last Jedi.
But where would this story take Luke? Would this movie be about him, that's why the title? Or would this story finally kill him? Which is possible but given how things have turned out end of last year, I don't think anyone at Lucasfilm has the heart to kill off another one of the big three.
I personally am not too big of a fan of this title, but it whets the appetite. The movie, directed by Rian Johnson, will be out on 15 December 2017.
