The LEGO Batman Movie is doing so well that Warner Bros. Pictures is giving the director, Chris McKay, reins to a new DC property that was not in its initial slate of movies; according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A head-scratcher for sure, there has been no news for a Nightwing movie at all from WB and DC. Even worse is that all the problems they have now with The Flash and The Batman movies, plus the previously announced Cyborg movie is nowhere in sight, how are we getting a Nightwing all of a sudden?
But with McKay having great success now, maybe he can bring a fresh perspective to the DCEU that nobody is doing over in the executive floor.
No release date has been set for Nightwing. And let's not kid ourselves, at the rate WB is going with their DC properties, the whole project may just be a sinking ship after a month's time.
