There is a trend that is starting and I don't get how it is gaining popularity. Movies are made for the big screen, but there are a lot of movies that are going to debut on Netflix only. Death Note is the latest one.
Adapted from the Japanese anime of the same title, starring Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield and Willem Dafoe voicing Ryuk the Shinigami. The sneak peek of a trailer looks wonderfully dark and deliciously mysterious. Whether or not it reflects the source material will have to be decided for a longer trailer. But for now, this is good enough.
I still think it will look better on the big screen but it's something I will have to accept. Perhaps this movie may change my mind too.
Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie will be released on 28 August 2017.
