It is finally here. Columbia Pictures and MRC have finally released the first trailer to the highly anticipated The Dark Tower, a few months before its release.
From the books by Stephen King, this first trailer unfortunately did not deliver to what the hype is all about. The initial setup to the introduction of that world, looks kind of cheesy; only to be redeemed by the gun-play of the Gunslinger, played by Idris Elba.
But Matthew McConaughey looks like he could be portraying a juicy character. If not for these two items, this whole trailer is a snooze fest. Hopefully the next one will be better.
The posters also suffers from the same cheese factor. Elba's pose looks like he is in the middle of a dance off while McConaughey looks confused.
Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, The Dark Tower will be out on 4 August 2017.
