The first trailer for The Emoji Movie by Sony Pictures Animation is here, and it looks quite bad.
Not that the animation looks bad, but the whole storyline and the way these emojis exist, just seem quite trivial and uninteresting. It even looks like it is almost following in the footsteps of Pixar's Inside Out.
If the rest of the trailers are going to be this dull (I did not even crack a smile once), this will definitely be one to miss.
Directed by Tony Leondis, the release date for the movie has been pushed forward to 28 July 2017 instead of 4 August.
