One of the biggest movies last year and one of the biggest, brightest and youngest director, La La Land and Damien Chazelle.
It is only natural to see where Chazelle will go from there. And apparently it is the biopic of Neil Armstrong written by another Academy Award winner John Singer who also wrote Spotlight.
A few key roles have already been cast, namely Ryan Gosling to play Armstrong. And The Hollywood Reporter recently confirmed that Corey Stoll will play Edwin "Buzz" E. Aldrin, Jr.; and Kyle Chandler will play Deke Slayton - who was responsible to assemble the Apollo 11 crew.
The actor to play the third Apollo 11 astronaut, Michael Collins, has yet to be announced.
Universal Pictures is scheduled to release First Man on 12 October 2018.
