The Wolff brothers both have new trailers out today.
Netflix has just revealed the first full trailer for the upcoming Death Note, starring Nat Wolff.
I have to say, watching this first trailer, it looks and feels like it is being true to the original source material. But there is both good and bad. Good because then it feels like Death Note. Bad because some of the events happening in a manga or anime can be overlooked but not in a movie.
Like the many deaths that are briefly shown in the trailer, the way they happen needs to have consequences that reflect the real life.
Also starring Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, Shea Whigham, and Willem Dafoe providing the voice of Ryuk the Shinigami; which is also the first character to get its own poster.
Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie will premier on Netflix on 25 August 2017.
