Star Wars' Han Solo Movie Changes Director
Earlier today it has come as a shock as next year's untitled Star Wars movie about Han Solo loses its directors, the very talented Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
Citing the dreaded "creative differences", but both Lord and Miller have released a statement saying only good things; as is Lucasfilm about the directing duo.
But according to ComingSoon, Lucasfilm has now just confirmed that Academy Award winner Ron Howard will take over from Lord and Miller.
The filming of the movie is currently well underway, and Howard is expected to continue where it was left off.
With such success as The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street franchise, I was very curious as to what Lord and Miller will be able to bring to a Star Wars movie. Unfortunately that did not pan out.
However, Howard is a name that carries weight. He has been around the business for so long and has created some of my favourite movies as well as TV show like "Arrested Development".
Still, if I had to choose, I would have liked to see Lord and Miller's version of a Star Wars movie. I'm not sure which Howard we are going to get. A Beautiful Mind Ron Howard or The Da Vinci Code Ron Howard? Apollo 13 Ron Howard or Angels & Demons Ron Howard?
