DC's Wonder Woman Sequel Sets Release Date

We know there will definitely be a sequel for DC and Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman, seeing as how it is not the strongest superhero movie of the year; having just passed Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 last week.

The studio has now set its release date as 13 December 2019. Now this, is surprising. I thought the movie worked so well with a summer release. The word of mouth has kept its legs going week after week with only a minimal drop off. I would have thought the sequel would want to stay in the summer spotlight.

But moving to December also has its merits. For now, that particular week is still wide open and with Wonder Woman reserving it, no one else would want to open opposite it. But it will have others to contend with in the following weeks, like the reboot of Masters Of The Universe which is scheduled to come out the week after.

However, Patty Jenkins still has not been confirmed to return to direct.
