[Review] Office Christmas Party (5.5/10)
These types of Christmas, R-rated comedies always have a hard time to deliver, and the Office Christmas Party was no different.
Even with a stacked cast, the material just wasn't good enough for any of the talents, except for Jennifer Aniston who brought her Cake game to play as she looked every bit convincing, even when she threw down some thugs.
Even though the writing could have been better, the multiple writing crew managed to squeeze in a little bit of heart into the story; just that the delivery by directors Josh Gordon and Will Speck might have missed some of the marks.
But there were also some good cameos that popped up quite nicely, like Ben Falcone and Fortune Feimster. Equally though, some of the cast were wasted like Jamie Chung and Randall Park.
Still, those that needed to deliver did. T.J. Miller, Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, Courtney B. Vance, Jillian Bell and Aniston all made their lines work and I did find myself smiling a lot more than necessary, thanks to the talents.
