It was not all good news over the D23 Expo weekend as
The LA Times reported that iconic filmmaker George A. Romero has passed away.
Romero had a "brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer", according to a family statement. He was known as the father of the modern zombie movies because of what he has achieved with Night Of The Living Dead; which he directed, wrote, edited, and acted in it; released in 1968.
He then furthered his career with more horrors, including Dawn Of The Dead and collaborated with Stephen King for Creepshow and The Dark Half.
