Shortlisted as the top director to helm Warner Bros. Pictures and DC's Suicide Squad 2, Jaume Collet-Serra has been reported by Deadline to have withdrawn in favour to direct Walt Disney Pictures' Jungle Cruise.
The bad taste of the first Suicide Squad movie seems to have some black clouds continuously hovering above it that even a small-named director like Collet-Serra would opt out of it in favour of a Disney project that is aimed for kids. His previous movie was The Shallows and that was more of a thriller than a kid-friendly movie.
No release date has been set yet for Jungle Cruise but it has secured its main lead in Dwayne Johnson.
