Paramount Pictures has won the rights to an upcoming Leonardo da Vinci biopic against competition from Universal Pictures.
The source material is from a book written by Walter Isaacson, which will be published in October later this year; and has Leonardo DiCaprio producing the movie. On top of that, according to Deadline, he is also looking to star as da Vinci.
Rumour has it that when DiCaprio's mother was pregnant with him, he kicked for the first time when she was looking at a da Vinci painting in a museum in Italy. If that was true, it would explain DiCaprio's high interest in this project.
No release date has been set yet.
