R.I.P. Harry Dean Stanton

With much buzz surrounding his latest movie, Lucky, in which he plays the main lead of the story - a rarity in his very long Hollywood career; yesterday the Variety has reported that Stanton has died of natural causes.

Stanton usually pops up in movies and TV series as a supporting role or cameo-like scenes - a la in The Avengers where it was more like his presence graced the movie instead. His first starring role was back in 1984's Paris, Texas which became an indie favourite then. He was also best known for Red Dawn, Pretty In Pink, The Green Mile and Repo Man; as well as TV series "Twin Peaks" - both the original and the recently revived one.

His latest film, Lucky, will be out on 29 September 2017 and it already has a lot of praises for his performance - which may not only land him an Academy Award nomination but he may even receive it posthumously.
