A Chris Hemsworth's movie that nobody knew was in production until this first trailer and poster released by Warner Bros. Pictures.
With an extremely long title to challenge the longest of them, 12 Strong: The Declassified True Story Of The Horse Soldiers tells the story in the following days of September 11.
Led by Chris Hemsworth, the movie also stars Michael Shannon, Michael Pena, Rob Riggle, Trevante Rhodes, screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, and Hemsworth's real life wife Elsa Pataky.
Any war movie that is based on September 11 would have its pull, and this first trailer shows that there was a lot more going on than just America right after the bombing. Everything here looks good, except for the song that starts playing midway through because it is distracting and takes away the attention from what the trailer is trying to convey.
This first poster looks really fake, with too much airbrush action going on - so much so that it looks like textured for a video game. The more I look at it the worse it looks!
Directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, based on the book Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton (why couldn't the movie have a similar, simple name?); the movie will be out on 19 January 2018.
