Universal Pictures first announced that the studio is pushing back Fast & Furious 9 by a year, from 19 April 2019 to 10 April 2020.
And a day later, the reason for this delay has surfaced. ComingSoon reported that the spin-off, which will star Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, is announced to be released on 26 July 2019.
Though I am not a fan of the franchise, the last one really left a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths; especially with that feud between Johnson and Vin Diesel and hence affecting the filming.
There is a lot of smack talk going around the Internet, started (presumably) by Tyrese, and it's (un)interesting to see all these grown men with pecs creating drama over a movie. I am just going to sit back and watch as events unfold.
