Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have released the first full trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising.
This first trailer just blew my expectations away because, while the teaser released a few months ago did not excite me, these clips and images look really, really good. There are enough spectacle even though most of the humans just pose and look cool.
And the monologue by John Boyega already sound and feel better than the one that Idris Elba gave in the first movie. There is one shot of Tian Jing, who was useless in Kong: Skull Island; so I hope she will be presented better here.
However, I have also just found out that Rinko Kikuchi will be back to reprise her role; which is quite unfortunate because she single-handedly made me dislike the first movie entirely.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the sequel will be out on 23 March 2018.
