It took quite a few years considering how the "Pokemon Go" game took over mobile gaming, but it's finally here. The movie based on Pokemon is finally moving and we have an A-lister to lead Detective Pikachu.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed to voice the titular character.
Reynolds will also be in motion-capture for the role, and will join cast members Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton for the movie which is written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch.
Directed by Rob Letterman, filming is set to begin in middle of January 2018.
