20th Century Fox Shifts Release Dates, Added Orient Express Sequel
Twentieth Century Fox recently made some changes to their upcoming blockbusters - most notably for Alita: Battle Angel and The Predator.
The James Cameron produced, Robert Rodriguez directed adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel was supposed to arrive 20 July 2018 but has now been pushed back to 21 December 2018, that's almost half a year. One has to wonder if this has anything to do with the backlash of the humongous eyes of Alita first seen in the first trailer released a few months back.
The Shane Black directed The Predator sequel was supposed to be out on 3 August 2018 but has also been delayed slightly to 14 September 2018. This could be due to a more strategic positioning and also swapping with another new Fox property, The Darkest Minds, starring Gwendoline Christie and Mandy Moore; which has now taken the 3 August spot.
The soft success of Murder On The Orient Express has been given the green light for a sequel with Kenneth Branagh once again returning to helm. The new title will be following its source material first published in 1937, Death On The Nile, and will be out on 8 November 2019.
