Writer-director Brian Helgeland is developing a new crime thriller titled The Finest.
Oscar winner Helgeland, best known for his scripts for L.A. Confidential and Mystic River, as well as directing Legend; will take on both writing and directing duties for The Finest. His directorial efforts have not been as well-known but his writing offerings still excites me.
According to ComingSoon, Helgeland has assembled his leads for the movie which include Jake Gyllenhaal, Ansel Elgort and Zendaya. Gyllenhaal and Elgort will both play brothers that got sucked into the crime syndicate of the Boston.
No release date has been set for the movie.
