Seems like a century ago that Chris Pratt has been cast in the lead role for Cowboy Ninja Viking, and nothing has happened with the project until now.
With a confirmed release date for 28 June 2019, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has finally confirmed a director in Michelle MacLaren.
MacLaren supposedly beat out Jennifer Yuh Nelson of Kung Fu Panda and Rick Famuyiwa of Dope.
She was also supposed to direct another comic book property, which was last year's Wonder Woman, before that iconic movie eventually went to Patty Jenkins. So this could be MacLaren's big break into mainstream blockbuster.
