New Line Cinema has released the first trailer and poster of the upcoming comedy Life Of The Party.
Starring Melissa McCarthy, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph and Julie Bowen; the movie is once again directed by McCarthy's husband Ben Falcone, and is reportedly inspired by the classic comedy Back To School.
I don't know if McCarthy should still keep doing these small comedies with her husband because the first movie they worked on, Tammy, was not good.
Their follow-up The Boss was kind of enjoyable, but not enough to keep making these because McCarthy, when placed in a good movie like Spy or Bridesmaids, can be a real force in Hollywood. But if she keeps pigeonholing herself in these subpar comedies even though they earn more money by producing them, it could hurt her in the long run.
This first trailer looks just like any other McCarthy movie and does not look like it has anything special to offer.
The script is also written by the husband-and-wife duo, and the movie will be out on 11 May 2018.
