Kristen Wiig Casts As Cheetah In Wonder Woman 2

It has been rumoured for a couple of weeks now that SNL alum Kristen Wiig is the number one pick for a role in Wonder Woman 2.

Today, director Patty Jenkins has taken to her Twitter to announce that the casting has been confirmed and Wiig will indeed be playing Wonder Woman's enemy Cheetah.

I have not been able to take Wiig seriously in any of her dramatic roles. She was a big distraction in The Martian as I kept expecting her to crack a joke - which she did not. So having her play a supervillain may take some getting used to.

Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled for 1 November 2019 release.
