This news comes as a bit of a shock. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Gunn has been fired by Walt Disney Studios for his third installment of Guardians Of The Galaxy.
It is reported that "serveral conservatives resurfaced old Tweets Thursday in which the filmmaker joked about controversial topics such as pedophilia and rape".
The studio has said that Gunn is indefensible and inconsistent with their values, and has severed their business relationship.
Gunn later released a public statement of regret and apology, but we have just lost one of the great minds that shaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I have always believed that what we write about or put on the Internet will always be there whether we like it or not. If we are not careful with our own actions today, they may come back to haunt us tomorrow.
Always think twice, thrice, before posting anything online. They cannot be erased. Think of the person you want to be 10, 20, 30 years from now and see if what you do today is creating a bridge to your future self.
