According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zazie Beetz is in final negotiations to join Joaquin Phoenix in the origin of The Joker movie, which has recently just received the green light.
Beetz was just in this summer's Deadpool 2 and was actually one of the best parts about the movie. And now she is jumping camp to DC to star opposite Phoenix in what is supposedly a one-off story.
Titled simply as Joker, the movie will be released on 4 October 2019.
