According to Variety, Teller has won the role of the son of Goose from the original Top Gun movie.
Wingman to Cruise's Maverick, Goose met his demise in the first movie and now his son is all grown up, and he must also be a pilot - possibly going to be the co-pilot for Maverick again.
Teller fits the part because he pulls off the cocky and smooth really well. I can see him as a pilot with no problems.
