According to Deadline, the original release date for Universal's Wicked adaptation has been moved in order to accommodate its production schedule. Taking its place will be Cats instead.
It will be sharing the same date as Death On The Nile and Star Wars Episode IX, with Masters Of The Universe arriving two days earlier.
Hudson will be playing Grizabella while McKellen will be playing Gus the Theatre Cat.
There has been rumours that there will be one new song written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for this adaptation, which is targeted for the new character named Victoria - a perky white kitten - which I'm assuming is what Swift's role will be.
This will be Hooper's second foray into musical, his first was Les Miserables for the same studios.
