[Review] Johnny English Strikes Again (4.5/10)

Studio - Focus Features, Working Title
Starring - Rowan Atkinson, Ben Miller, Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson, Jake Lacy
Writer - William Davies
Director - David Kerr
Release - 26 October 2018
After so many years, I have come to accept who Atkinson is as an actor and who Johnny English is as a character.
The brand of humour is very specific and some of them here were lifted off of Mr. Bean's physical humour.
But with this type of comedy, it is always the first half of the movie that brought most of the laughs while the second half suffered in repetitions and trying to finish off the main plot.
I enjoyed the first half to a certain degree, with a few laughs and chuckles here and there. My favourite part was when English tried to make up a fake name and immediately forgot what it was. That was gold.
But the second half became boring and repetitive and it was just going through the motions.
And after this outing, I think it is time to retire off this character. How about Atkinson doing something serious for a change?
