[Review] Steve Jobs (8/10)
Dialogues were just non-stop from beginning to end, and it felt like a lot of things were forced into this particular story.
There can't be that much drama every time Steve Jobs want to do a significant launch or release of something new.
But this was definitely a very different movie from the first Jobs movie. Aaron Sorkin's script was amazing and an ear full because Danny Boyle was relentless in keeping the movie moving forward in a very consistent pacing.
Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet gave outstanding performances, but how was Michael Stuhlbarg still without an Academy Award nomination? He was amazing in this. Jeff Daniels also was a significant standout and no stranger to Sorkin's writing.
And even with the kind of pacing and the kind of storytelling that felt one-note from start to finish, but that ending still had a very good payoff. And the way it ended, that was genius on Boyle's part.
