Burt Reynolds has passed away today at the age of 82, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars for his turn in Boogie Nights. The late actor reached his peak in the later 70's when he was the number-one top grossing actor for five years in a row.
He was best known for his roles in Deliverance, Smoky And The Bandits and The Longest Yard. He also championed doing his own stunts in action movies, which in Deliverance had him sent to the hospital after crashing his canoe into some rocks.
He also won Best Actor from the Emmy Award in 1991 for the sitcom "Evening Shade", but my first memory of him was watching the movies Heat and The Cannonball Run.
