I hope I am not jinxing it but this trailer looks so good. This could be the Dark Phoenix that comic book fans have always wanted. If Kinberg pulls this off, he could be the next big thing in the superhero movie genre.
I, however, do not agree that the title of the movie has dropped the "X-Men" name. It feels like the movie wants to distance itself from the previous X-Men titles but what's the point? It's a rebirth of the franchise under the new director, what's the point? The franchise will be back to Disney after this and New Mutants, and then it'll be a reboot.
