Star Wars' The Mandalorian First Look And Director List
I very seldom, once in a while, occasionally would blog about series. The last one was "Cobra Kai" because it looked awesome, and it turned out awesome.
Here's one from Lucasfilm and it is produced and created by Jon Favreau.
ComingSoon has reported that the official title released by Favreau is going to be "The Mandalorian". And with the title came a first picture with an actual Mandalorian that looks amazing.
I can't wait to see who is behind the mask and who else is in the cast. But Favreau also has released a list of directors that will be helming the episodes for the first season. Some names may be obscure, but some names will surprise you.
Right off the bat, episode one will be directed by Dave Filoni, who I am most excited for. Filoni, if you are a fan of Star Wars you will know, has been the one who has been shepherding all the animated series from "Clone Wars" to "Rebels" and the upcoming "Resistance".
Filoni is the one who knows the most about the lore of Star Wars and he should be the Kevin Feige for Lucasfilm. I really have no idea why he is not at this point.
Other directors include Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa; and here is where I am really surprised, Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi.
I didn't know Howard is directing, let alone a Star Wars project but she is following her father's footsteps. And Waititi is surprising because I would have thought he would be busy with movies after the huge success of Thor: Ragnarok.
The first season of The Mandalorian will have 10 episodes, but has no release date as of yet.
