Deadline has confirmed that Ewan McGregor has been added to the cast of Birds Of Prey, which seems to be progressing nicely so far, coming from the DC camp.
McGregor will play mob boss Roman Sionis who leads the False Face Society in the underworld of Gotham City. He is also known as Black Mask.
It is also reported that director Cathy Yan has also confirmed that she will be bringing the character of Cassandra Cain into the mix as well, perhaps an origin story for this version of Batgirl.
Furthermore, and very surprisingly so, Yan also stated that the movie will be rated R; a move I feel is quite unnecessary at this point. DC needs all the ticket sales they can get right now and this will very much limit that just for a few gory scenes?
