[Review] The Upside (7.5/10)

Title - The Upside
Studio - STX Entertainment
Starring - Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart, Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies, Tate Donovan
Writer - Jon Hartmere
Director - Neil Burger
Release - 11 January 2019

From what I've heard, it's a very fateful adaptation from the original, Intouchables.

The good:

- A very linear story that was engaging and charming.

- Beautiful performance from Bryan Cranston, a subdued one from Nicole Kidman, and surprisingly dramatic from Kevin Hart. Tate Donovan was great at being annoying.

- Neil Burger's direction kept the pacing consistent, and perhaps a somewhat realistic look at the life of a quadriplegic.

The bad:

- The movie never gave us more of an emotional pull. And I have to wonder had it been a dramatic actor instead of Hart, could the movie had dug deeper?

- Predictable in the sense that we could see how all the relationships will end by the closing of the movie.

Conclusion:
Definitely a feel-good movie worth watching.
