[Review] Pet Sematary (4/10)

Title - Pet Sematary
Studio - Paramount Pictures
Starring - Jason Clarke, Jon Lithgow, Amy Seimetz, Jete Laurence
Writer - Jeff Buhler
Director - Dennis Widmyer, Kevin Kolsch
Release - 5 April 2019

Another disappointing remake of a classic.

The Good:

- Jon Lithgow and Jason Clarke were great. They make the story easier to follow. As well as young Jete Laurence was very convincing.

The Bad:

- The writing and direction were not that great. The pacing didn't serve the dialogue, the dialogue didn't serve the story.

- It just didn't make sense to have the "ground" itself to be that high up. How did they drag adults all the way up there? And there were more of these scenes illogical and unnecessary scenes.

- Also, we did not need the mother, played by Amy Seimetz, to have that subplot which didn't work at all.

- There were potential to have more horrific moments, like those kids in the masks could be scarier, but they were never used except for the scenes we saw in the trailers.
