[Review] Terminator: Dark Fate (7.5/10)

Title - Terminator: Dark Fate
Studio - Paramount Pictures
Starring - Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, Arnold Schwarzenegger
Writer - David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Billy Ray
Director - Tim Miller
Release - 1 November 2019

This was such a fun ride. I guess it's hard to screw up when you have Linda Hamilton who read the script and said yes.

 The Good:

- It could be good or bad with this point, because it's almost a rehash of the first Terminator in terms of plot.

- Linda Hamilton. Although she kind of started a little... weird, having just came out of retirement for this, but by the end of it you will definitely be cheering for her (even though it was still weird to see a grandmother / senior citizen being thrown around physically).

- There was also a good character arc for this particular Schwarzenegger role, but I have a feeling it's either you like it or don't.

- Schwarzenegger also had some really surprisingly good comedic lines.

- Gabriel Luna played a great Terminator. And his and Mackenzie Davis' fight scenes were some of the best in the franchise.

The Bad:

- I really liked the name Skynet, but in this particular storyline, it's called something super generic, Legion.

- I'm not that big of a fan of Natalia Reyes' character arc, and some of her scenes came off as cheesy.

- There was drama between Schwarzenegger and Hamilton's characters but either the acting or the script didn't allow a fully emotional exploration.

This was, like many have said before me, the best Terminator since T2.
