[Review] Dark Waters (6.5/10)

Writer - Matthew Carnahan, Mario Correa
Director - Todd Haynes
Release - 29 November 2019
That is a terrible poster to represent the movie, by the way.
I am shocked by how recent all these events ended up to be, and even more shocked at it is still so relevant today. If you would dig deeper, you would see that the Dupont company owns more brands that you know of or use.
Unfortunately, the movie itself wasn't as clear in its storytelling in certain scenes; or it was trying too hard to create suspense when there weren't that much to begin with. It's just to keep viewers entertained, I understand, but it felt cheap if that was the case.
There were a few big names here like Robbins and Pullman and especially Hathaway. But none of them had too much to do as the movie followed Ruffalo's character from start to finish. But each of those big names had one scene in which they shone and made that scene better. Hathaway, however, not so much.
But the subject matter just kept getting more and more fascinating as the movie went along, and really painted a bleak picture at the end to instill some sort of call-to-action in its viewers; which it did affected me.
