With so little movies we are getting this year, I can't tell if I really liked this movie or I'm just lacking in choices. But one thing that's for sure, the cast is fantastic and delivered great performances.

While one can expect the kind of delivery from Jason Clarke, Riley Keough and Sebastian Stan, the ones that we haven't really seen are Bill Skarsgard and Tom Holland; and in that sense they surprised me.

But the one that really stood out was Robert Pattinson. He stole the scenes every time he was in front of the camera. There were a few scenes where the camera just focused on him and Antonio Campos did well to let Pattinson do what he does best.

No doubt this was a long movie, but the pacing never dropped too far down and held my interest with its slow burn. And a lot of times it was because of those performances that sold the drama.

This was a very decent movie by Netflix, but I know not to get my hopes up that this will give the studio a sense of direction in its future production.
